The Joe Jackson Memorial Scholarship was established in memory of Joe who was the manager of engineering at Vandenberg Launch Operations for Lockheed Martin Astronautics until his retirement in 1996. Joe considered his participation in the first Titan 1 launch from Cape Canaveral as well as all Gemini launches to be the highlights of his career. He died on January 9th, 1996 at the City of Hope. This scholarship supports incoming freshman enrolled in the College of Engineering. |

The Roy N. Poage Scholarship was established in memory of Roy who died in 1979. Roy was president of Pameco-Aire and was responsible for its expansion to become one of the world’s largest wholesale refrigeration supply organizations with 61 branches. This scholarship supports students majoring in Mechanical Engineering with a concentration in HVAC. The recipient must also be a member of the student chapter of the American Society of Heating, Refrigeration, and Air Conditioning Engineers. |
