College of Liberal Arts
Liberal Arts draws some of the State's best and brightest students to its 15 baccalaureate programs and two graduate programs. Many of our programs, such as Graphic Communication and Art and Design, have earned national reputations. The College also houses the most competitive program in the 23-campus California State University system for educating future elementary-school teachers. More than 45 Liberal Arts faculty members have been honored as Cal Poly distinguished teachers during the past three decades. In addition to instructing in their own majors, this superb faculty provides approximately 70 percent of the general education classes required for all Cal Poly students.
Private support for the College of Liberal Arts is crucial to recruiting and retaining top students and faculty in the competitive world of new technologies and interpenetrating cultures. To this end, the college is developing polytechnic curricula, enhancing its study abroad programs, and updating it labs in communications and the arts.
How can my giving help?
- Incorporate rendering and animation facilities into instruction
