Why does the Cal Poly College of Engineering
ask for donations and support?
Decreasing support from the State of California has forced Cal Poly and many of its peers in higher education to seek private support. We want to continue to be not only among the biggest engineering colleges, but the best.
What makes Cal Poly unique –hands-on engineering education – also known by the credo, Learn By Doing, needs support. Students need labs, equipment, and the resources to design, build and experiment.
We are training the next generation to solve problems the world faces – energy, safety, technology, security, clean water, and many more. You gift directly addresses tomorrow’s challenges by educating today’s engineer.
We hope you will support Cal Poly when we call, visit or send a letter. Your gift – no matter the amount – will make a difference.
Be a proud Cal Poly alum and/or parent!
