Dear fellow Cal Poly parents:
It is our honor to serve as regional chairs for the newly formed Cal Poly Parents for Philanthropy program. Parents for Philanthropy is led by volunteer parents throughout the State and seeks to raise unrestricted gifts from parents to support the Parent Fund.
As parents, we know that at Cal Poly, it’s all about the students. Our children are thriving in the learn by doing environment which is due in large part to:
- hands-on learning opportunities
- smaller class size
- professors, not teacher assistants, teaching our students
As fellow parents, we are excited to share the news that as a result of the outstanding quality education students receive at Cal Poly that:
- According to the July 31, 2008, Wall Street Journal, when compared with other state universities, Cal Poly graduates earned an average of $57,200 starting median salary, second only to UC Berkeley graduates
- 92-96% of Cal Poly graduates are employed within one year after graduation
Please join us, and the many other parents who give to the Cal Poly Parent Fund by clicking here. This important fund delivers flexible dollars to support the programs and opportunities that help create an extraordinary Cal Poly experience for your son or daughter.
Thank you for your support - it makes all the difference.
