Student Philanthropy Council : Advisors
During your time at Cal Poly, many alumni, donors, friends, parents and staff have made gifts of their own that have directly impacted your education at Cal Poly. Many others give their time to help raise money, connect donors to Cal Poly and educate others about the importance of private support.
The following are members of the Cal Poly administrative team who work with the Student Philanthropy Council:
Dave Christy, Dean
Orfeala College of Business
Dean Christy came to Cal Poly in 2004 from Penn State University. Dean Christy is the academic mentor to the Student Philanthropy Council. Dean Christy is a great visionary and provides advice and counsel to the students, and is extremely supportive of their efforts.
Anne Harris
Director of Campaign and Donor Relations
Anne is a graduate of the CSU and has worked in the system for over ten years. She fully appreciates how important private gifts are to public universities. Anne has worked with the Student Philanthropy Council since its inception. She can be reached at anharris@calpoly.edu or 805/756-7468.
Jenny Heckendorf
Special Events Coordinator
Jenny is a Cal Poly alumna – she graduated in 2004 with a degree in Recreation, Parks and Tourism Administration. As an alumna, Jenny understands the impact that private support makes to Cal Poly and knows first-hand how it benefited her education. She has been a staff member in University Advancement since 2005.
