Ways to Engage

Join us through regular Career Fairs, on-campus interviewing, or posting a job.  This will provide you with direct access to a pool of highly qualified and talented graduates who can support your workforce needs.

Guest Speaker

Our faculty and students want to hear from you – your experiences are valuable learning opportunities.

Visiting Industry Scholar

Industry leaders can commit to an extended period of time to work directly with students as mentors, teachers, and on project oversight.

Senior Projects and Mentoring

Do you have research or project needs? Our exceptional students and faculty can work with you to complete necessary tasks that accomplish your goals and objectives.

Student Club Support

More than 1,000 clubs across campus provide leadership opportunities for our students. Your support helps cover the cost of competitions, travel and supplies, or an investment in scholarships will assist students with their financial needs - all while connecting you with groups of students already engaged in specific areas of interest.

Earn by Doing

Students work on campus while practicing the skills they’ve learned. You can provide sponsorship for students who are putting the knowledge they gain in the classroom to work right away.

Domestic and International Internships

Cal Poly students are eager to pursue internship opportunities, providing employers with an opportunity to infuse new ideas and energy into their organizations. As we strive to enhance the cultural competencies of our students, overseas internships are a particularly exciting opportunity.

Applied Research

Past projects include work in bio-remediation, packaging and marketing, sustainable farming practices, business innovation and enterprise, cybersecurity and athletics. Your business challenges provide a rich learning environment in our Learn By Doing atmosphere.

Most students at Cal Poly receive some form of financial aid. By creating an endowed scholarship, your company can help foster the next generation of leaders and innovators while establishing a legacy those students won't forget as they enter the workforce.

Naming Opportunities

Opportunities are available to recognize your involvement by naming rooms and buildings, centers and institutes, and endowed professorships or department chair positions.

Matching Gifts

Many employers offer matching contributions to their employees’ donations, making your dollars stretch twice as far!

Cal Poly Alumni Association

Cal Poly alumni are proud of their school. Give back through the Alumni Association to support special events such as business networking opportunities, the annual Evening of Green and Gold, or local chapter events.

Public-Private Partnerships

Many companies and industry groups have developed long-term partnerships with Cal Poly that have resulted in both life-changing educational opportunities for students and dynamic results for the corporate partners. These include the Strawberry Sustainability Research and Education Center involving the California Strawberry Commission, and the Institute for Advanced Technology and Public Policy, founded by former State Senator Sam Blakeslee. These examples are only the beginning.

Cal Poly students receive world-class training, leaving campus ready to enter the workforce to provide you with solutions to your challenges.
