Cal Poly recognizes and honors its generous donors for their support of the university’s mission and vision — and for continuing to power the Learn by Doing legacy forward.
Gifts from generous alumni, parents and friends provide the opportunity for students to grow and develop into the next generation of community and industry leaders — in a hands-on learning environment with passionate faculty.
Through annual support, sustained leadership contributions and legacies left with estate gifts, your dedication to Cal Poly is vital to our success. To honor the many ways donors empower students, excellence and innovation, Cal Poly offers the following recognition.
Green & Gold Society
The Green & Gold Society is Cal Poly's leading lifetime recognition society, designed to honor donors who have invested in the future of the university with cumulative contributions, pledge or paid, totaling $100,000 or more. The thoughtful dedication of the Green & Gold Society empowers students, faculty and the Cal Poly community to reach new heights. For updates to existing members' sponsored guest parking information, please email Piper Fedrow, Green & Gold Society liaison at firstname.lastname@example.org.
1901 Legacy Society
The 1901 Legacy Society was established to recognize those generous individuals who have notified Cal Poly that the university is a beneficiary of a planned gift that they have established. Planned gifts provide vital resources that give Cal Poly its margin of excellence and help keep the Learn by Doing tradition invigorated.
The Morros Society
The Morros Society recognizes donors who support Cal Poly’s students, faculty, colleges and programs with annual giving of $1,000 or more. These donors demonstrate their belief in the promise of every individual who learns, teaches and succeeds at Cal Poly.
Recognition levels are based upon giving per fiscal year (July 1-June 30).

Poly Loyal honors Cal Poly's most dedicated donors — those who continue to make annual gifts, to any designation and for any amount, consecutively for five or more fiscal years are recognized as Poly Loyal.
Poly Loyal donors are committed to supporting Learn by Doing opportunities for students today, while helping to sustain existing programs, generate innovative new projects and provide the best hands-on learning experiences for the leaders of tomorrow.
Commemorative Bench Program
The Cal Poly Memorial/In Honor Bench program provides an opportunity to commemorate your loved ones and beautify the Cal Poly campus. Benches can be dedicated with a gift of $5,000 which helps offset the cost of procurement and installation of the bench and engraved plaque. If you would like to dedicate a bench in memory or in honor of someone, please contact the Office of Donor Relations at email@example.com.
